From there, we ll take care of the rest of the required fuel tax reporting, even storing your fuel history for up to four years. WHEN ARE FUEL RECEIPTS REQUIRED? Vehicles travelling outside of their domicile state/province (on permit or license) are REQUIRED to submit fuel reciepts if they have: Two axles and a gross vehicle weight (GVW) exceeding 26,000 lbs.
